<description>OK En. SM, Saya cuba dulu. Diagram saya akan illustrate guna FEN notation.

1. Let&#039;s take the position after 3. Bxb8 Rxb8
1rbqkbnr/pp2pppp/2p5/3p4/3P4/8/PPP1PPPP/RN1QKBNR w KQk - 0 4
-Theory-
This pawn chain resembles the slav/caro-kann defence. The similar point of both the opening is that Black tries to solve the problem of the Light-squared Bishop. In the Caro-Kann, this Bishop can be easily challenged by the following moves:
1. d4 c6 2. e4 d5 3. Nc3 dxe4 4. Nxe4 Bf5 5. Ng3 Bg6 6. Nf3 Nd7 7. h4 h6 8. h5 Bh7 9. Bd3 Bxd3 10. Qxd3
This is the main line of the Caro-Kann.

Even if the Bishop is not challenged, the minor pieces in Black&#039;s Queenside is not that good either, and often the case, White&#039;s Minor Pieces on the Queenside is better placed.
It can be proven from the line of the Botvinnik Variation of the Slav Defence.
1. d4 d5 2. c4 c6 3. Nf3 Nf6 4. Nc3 dxc4 5. e4 e6 6. Bg5 b5 7. e5 h6 8. Bh4 g5 9. Nxg5 hxg5 10. Bxg5 Nbd7 11. exf6

The Moscow Variation is more less the same, where the idea of the Queenside pieces follows similar to the Botvinnik Variation.

-Themes-
Black&#039;s point: Black has the pawn chain b7-c6-d5, which intends to solidify his hold in the center.
Often, the Knight on b8 will go to d7. square c6 is unavailable and square a6 is not a good prospect for the Knight. This Queen&#039;s Knight in general is not a very good piece, assuming that this pawn chain will stay on. (In the caro-kann, Black opts for ...Nbd7, ... e6 , and then ...c5, which looks a little inflexible/less options in my opinion)

The White&#039;s Dark Square Bishop is considered strong following the dark-squared weakness left behind by White. White should try to capitalize the weakness created by black.

-Formula - Formula tu ape SM?-

Conclusion - Trading the Queenside Dark-Suqared Bishop for the Bad Knight is not a good solution as White loses the initiative to fight.

Question 2
